JMPS System Engineer (NJ)

We have an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer to support our growing engineering services business. This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged, technically challenging problems are the norm and the focus is on the application of new technologies to real world problems. The primary on-site location for this position will be Marlton, NJ. 

Primary Duties Include

  • Defining requirements for emerging tactical and mission planning systems
  • Solving system integration issues employing both hardware and software solutions
  • Engineering methods to expand / extend the functionality of legacy systems
  • Performing mission requirement analysis and designing solutions to meet the requirements
  • Performing network interconnection and performance analysis
  • Evaluating system security compliance, developing and testing system security packages
  • Performing system testing, verification, and documentation updates

 Required Skills/Experience

  • BA/BS four-year degree in a related computer / engineering field
  • 2-4 years of experience in a related field
  • Strong computer hardware / software  / networking background
  • Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems
  • Excellent verbal / written communication and organizational skills
  • Team-oriented personality
  • Applicant must be a legally authorized to work in the US and have U.S. Government security clearance

Information Assurance Engineer (VA)

We have an immediate opening for an Information Assurance Engineer to support our growing engineering services business and to be responsible for analyzing and defining security requirements for Multilevel Security (MLS) issues. This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged, technically challenging problems are the norm and the focus is on the application of new technologies to real world problems. The primary on-site location for this position will be Portsmouth, Va.
  
Primary Duties Include

  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and security scans of both systems and networks to identify and mitigate security vulnerabilities
  • Conduct subsequent analysis of scan results to assign risk levels to systems
  • Review and analyze vulnerabilities that have been identified as being required for functionality;  Advise on necessity and security implications of leaving these vulnerabilities in place
  • Research and Document research and analysis as it pertains to the job duties.
  • Read and review SSAAs, network diagrams, and other security documentation to gain an understanding of underlying system and network security design issues; Compare these documents in analysis during vulnerability assessments
  • Attend and conduct security related meetings and teleconferences
  • Produce information assurance related reports and documentation to aid in the generation of reports 
  • Remain on the cutting edge of the latest security tools, testing out new vulnerability assessment, network discovery, penetration, and other tools that could aid in providing a better product for C&A services
  • Develop scripts to simplify data collection and other laborious tasks that are necessary to occur during the scanning and vulnerability assessment process
  • Find new areas that could benefit from additional automation or scripting.
  • Stay current with threats/product vulnerabilities with a particular focus on how they relate to DOD systems
  • Remain up-to-date with latest patch releases to identify the severity of missing patches or IAVs
  • Performs other duties as directed.

Required Skills / Experience

  • BS/BA degree in computer science, engineering or information assurance
  • 4+ years of experience
  • Excellent verbal/written communications skills
  • Firm understanding of Windows system administration and security, particularly Active Directory
  • Experience with network vulnerability assessment and protection
  • U.S. Government security clearance a must

Desired Skills/Experience

  • Information Assurance/Network Certifications (i.e. MCITP, CISSP, etc.)
  • Familiarity with DIACAP, SABI, CT&E and ST&E process
  • C++, Java, and Perl Scripts
  • Experience with scanning tools: Retina, Gold Disk, SRR scripts, and Nessus
  • Firm understanding of Solaris 8 and 10 system administration and security

System Engineer (PA) 

We have an immediate opening for a Systems Engineer to support a growing new initiative. This position requires a motivated individual who seeks to work in a team environment where creative solutions are encouraged, technically challenging problems are the norm and the focus is on the application of new technologies to real world problems. The primary on-site location for this position will be Philadelphia, PA. 

Primary Duties Include

  • Research and evaluation of server and storage technologies for evolving program requirements
  • Solving system integration issues employing both hardware and software solutions
  • Devising and employing methods to facilitate the transition away from legacy systems
  • Developing operating system and application deployment methods
  • Performing benchmarking and application performance analysis
  • Installing, testing and distributing vendor supplied software across multiple platforms
  • Assisting helpdesk personnel with mission critical hardware and software issues
  • Evaluating system security compliance, developing and testing system security packages

Required Skills/Experience

  • BA/BS four-year degree in a related computer / engineering field
  • 2-5+ years of experience in a related field
  • Strong computer hardware / software  / networking background
  • Experience with Microsoft Operating Systems
